Not a bad weekend. Smoker and McGeary have been so disappointing this year. I keep reminding myself to have patience, but also keep expecting these 2 to make a difference. Fun to watch some of these new guys making a mark, particularly Holder. Interesting to see if he develops more than most of us expect considering his draft position.

Now for a week of watching and waiting to see who is traded & for what (or if any trades occur at all!).

Brian, The links through the game boxes to MILB stats don’t seem to get updated very often by MiLB. The stats for Destin Hood, for instance show his last game as June something. Is there some avenue to ask those guys to update the cumulative stats more often?

Gusto – The page I saw on Hood appears to have been updated. What page are you going to?

Smoker’s is 1-0 3.32 ERA 19.0 IP 5BB 13 SO. He’d pitched less that 50 professional innings before this year and is coming off shoulder surgery. I don’t see how anyone can be dissapointed by his performance.

Great to see Mandel’s first AA start be successful. Wonder if he keeps it up, we might see him up in 2010?

Storen, Morris, and Holder (despite my negativity), and others have all done very well out of this class so far….

Mandel, Arnesen, Desmond, Hood, Norris, Lombardozi, Marrero, and others are all making the future brighter than at times in the recent past.

Brian, I was writing early this AM; they have brought it up. I was clicking on the box link, then through to various players I was interested in. For another example, for a number of recent days, Desmond was showing as only having one game after his promotion. I’ll have to watch a little more closely to get a handle on the schedule for updates.
