any reports on Destin Hood’s defense in right? would be a nice boost to his value

    Brian,

I like how you’re making us work to figure out the recaps. “Martis gave up two runs on seven hits over &IP” Had me hunting for the ‘&’ key to see what number sits on it. Your teachers would be so proud, sir! We be using our brains!

Gavin- haha I did the same… Ah. brains.

Brian: Do you think at any point you are going to do a ‘feature’ of the question we are all thinking about: Will Strasburg sign?

Also, will it help our negotiations if it looks like Crow will LOSE significant money after holding out? I know this is speculation, but it looks like the Royals are sticking to an offer lower than ours was last year…

@cj: I’m not Brian, but… By the numbers, Hood has played a little RF, a little LF & DH’ed in a couple of games with no errors in 16GP in VT. He posted 1 error in 25 GP while in the GCL, splitting duties at DH & LF. The numbers don’t address his range, so unless somebody from VT can chip in with a comment, I’ve got nothing there.

Jason Stark article on Strasburg, amongst other things he says that he is hearing that Boras is spewing negative things around about the nationals.
