Good to hear about Storen’s successful Potomac debut.

Storen is a super pitcher. I look for him to maybe end the year in Harrisburg or even up in Syracuse. If his stay in Hagerstown was any indication, he’ll pitch circles around high-A players as well.

If anyone was at the game i’d be interested in hearing your impressions of Storen…

2-inning save is a nice start. When did they decide that Adam Carr needs to make it as a starter? That’s a little surprising to me.

Good news for Jaime, I was hoping he’d be promoted soon.
Nice offensive output from GCL nats, could do without the SIX!!! errors

It’s pretty clear that Storen is being set up to follow the Chad Cordero route to being called up in Spetember his very first season. The Nats seem to be hoping that he’ll be able to take over the closer’s role in DC next year.

Desmond seems to still be doing well – can’t find his fielding numbers though. With him, Hernandez, and Gonzalez along with Lombardozzi, Kobernus, etc, I think it is time to trade Guzman if we can get something in return.
Dukes has nice numbers too – cut Kearns!

How come Dukes does not appear to be playing ?

Patterson needs the reps =)

Would guess that Dukes is hurt as he was playing regularly and then his PT suddenly stopped.

Chico Harlan has the update … Dukes was in Florida for a court appearance regarding his paternity issues

Boston traded for Adam LaRoche today which likely takes them out of the Nick Johnson sweepstakes. This means:
1) the Nats asked for more than P Hunter Strickland and SS Argenis Diaz from the Red Sox;
2) the market for Johnson has narrowed a bit.

Balester up, starts tomorrow (Thursday). Zimmermann DL’d…elbow soreness. They say they’re just being extra cautious.
