Brian, A few observations from last night’s Potomac game. 1. Is Boomer Whiting hurt? Noticed that he has not played the last 4 games. 2. T. Engles seemed to struggle some last night but grinded it out for the win. Enduced some double play ground balls to get out of some jams. 3. Seemed like Lastings Milledge could of cared less last night, dropped a easy fly ball. Last question, who is the front runner to move into the starting rotation to take Myers spot?

Storen looks like he’s getting his stuff together at this level. I think we should keep him in low A for a while – perhaps get him to Potomac for a whiff of High A to finish the year, but I don’t see an immediate need to rush him. He’s got some serious potential, IMO, but he sould see all levels of the minors before he gets to the Show. THis year and next should be in the minors with a spot in the pen for 2011.

    Storen’s K:BB is unbelievable.

Question, though… Does anyone know where to find his College stats? I’d be interested to see if he was such a big fly ball pitcher at Stanford.

Storen pitched great last night. Overpowered hitters on good high heat most of the time. He’s a smaller stature guy, so when he gets out there on the mound it’s surprising how fast and hard he pitches. I’ve also noticed how absolutely passionate he is about the game. Very refreshing!

Brian, I don’t know if this is too much to ask, but can you post the stats in the ATA of the top prospects of the team (Norris, Marrero, Burgess, Desmond, etc.) regardless if they go 2-4 or 0-4. I just assume they go 0-4 if you don’t post them.

RE: Storen’s college stats, It’s interesting that he had a 2.05 ERA at home and a 6.48 ERA on the road. His home park was a pitcher’s park.

Storen’s home and road era at Stanford was skewed by one appearance at Arizona State where he (and his replacement) allowed 7 runs in 1/3 of a nightmare inning.
