Another nice outing by J.D. – his K/BB ratio continues to be outstanding.
Anyone notice that even when Bally and J.D. are throwing well they’re being limited to 5 or 6 innings? That’s a sure fire sign both with be late season replacements (at the least) for guys like Det and J Zimm.

I’m very interested in watching the GCL. Always thought if you’re trying to turn around a farm system, the easiest place to do it is the GCL, where you got your new draftees flavored with some teenage Latinos.
For the 1st time it seems, we have a good sized, talented contribution from the DSL. Unfortunately, I feel it is countered by an abnormally weak draftee contingent.

JP Ramirez is our future leadoff guy, and I can’t wait until he gets to Washington. This guy Ian Desmond is making it so much easier to trade Guzman. My favorite new players in our system is Desmond, Ramirez, Meyers, Martin along with Norris, Marrero, and Espinosa. The future is bright with the Nats.

Brian- On a scale 1-10, how good can Ian Desmond be as a major leaguer? 1 being terrible, and 10 being HOF.

Ceiling? Maybe a 6 … solid major league contributor

Funny what 90 bats in AA can do to some people’s perspective, eh? Love the enthusiasm.

Okay. Thanks.

Chris- But the thing is he has always had this type of potential and only now he’s really living up to it.

Where can I get me some of those rose coloured glasses?

Brian – is there any discernable difference between Marvin Lowrence and Leonard Davis? Their stats are very close, both play LF at Harrisburg, and I’m not certain if both would be worthy of promotion – who does the organization favor?

Mark – Coin flip? I imagine Davis might get the nod based on the fact he can fill in at 2B, 3B, 1B, as well as all the OF spots
