Weekly Awards


MiLB.com named their weekly award winners for the full-season leagues.

  • Carolina League Pitcher of the Week: LHP Tom Milone … Milone was 1-0 in his one start which included eight shutout innings, allowing four hits while striking out seven and not walking a batter.
  • South Atlantic League Hitter of the Week: CA Derek Norris … Norris batted 0.565 and slugged 0.826 over six games for the Suns. He finished the week with two doubles, a home run, two RBI, and nine runs scored
