NY/Penn League All-Stars


The Vermont Lake Monsters will be represented by 2B Francisco Soriano, SS Sean Nicol, LHP Mitchell Clegg, and LHP Evan Bronson in August 18th All-Star game at State College.

Nicol, a 2009 16th rd pick, is hitting 262/360/310 in 40G with 12RBI and 7/8SB.

Soriano, a 2007 international free agent from the Dominican Republic, is hitting 308/414/402 in 39G with 18RBI and 15/22SB.

Clegg, a 2009 21st rd pick, is 1-2 in 9G (7GS) with 1.89ERA and 1.16WHIP. Over 38IP, he has struck out 22 and walked 7.

Bronson, a 2009 29th rd pick,  is 2-0 in 13G (all relief) with 0.84ERA and 0.72WHIP. Over 32IP, he has struck out 22 and walked 1.

    Is Bronson that good? He will give Storen a run for his money eventually if he is.

    Bronson is an experienced college arm who was expected to have success in this league.
