Attached is the updated DraftWatch spreadsheet. I’m pared it down some to players who seem most likely to go in the top 30 picks.

    Looking at PGCC’s rankings, it is interesting that Brothers, Paxton and Minor are all rated higher than Leake. As I learned with Detwiler, being lefthanded and able to light up a radar gun is worth a lot more in scouts eyes than actually being able to get someone out. I pray the Nats don’t fall into that trap again!

    I read somewhere, I believe on Brian’s blog, but it might have been on a link that the best predictor of a first round pitchers potential success at the MLB level was command. If so, you would think that would argue in favor of Leake…that plus the old getting the batter out thing.
