Only one National cracks the top 100, RHP Jordan Zimmermann at #41

    Nice, pretty fair

Hurts seeing Justin Smoak in there at #23

Hoping Detwiler, Norris and Burgess are on the list next year (and Zimmerman is no longer eligible)

Since BP had 3 Nats in the top 100, I like them better. And I sincerely HOPE they are smarter.

Interesting that I posted my comment after cjrugger did, but for some reason his time stamp is in error (yet another 8 minutes in the future), resulting in my post being sorted ahead of his. As it should be, but perhaps not as intended by the owner of the forum?

the clock is fouled up. Should be caught up in about 15 minutes

This is my issue with these rankings. Kyle Skipworth is #85…why? Cause he was a 1st round pick? How can you say he’s better then Derick Norris? Skipworth hit .208/.262/.340 for a whopping .602 OPS. Norris had a .908. He walked 7 more times then he K’d.

R-Zim, there certainly seems to be a bit of stickiness in the rankings. That is, players drafted highly tend to maintain higher rankings than poor performance would justify, and players drafted lower but achieving more, tend to rise at a slower rate than would seem appropriate.

Weight is obviously being given to the judgement of front offices/scouts, as opposed to switching over 100% to a performance based ranking once the players begin their pro careers.

The number 41 ranking is about right for Jordan Zimmermann.
