If you haven’t, you should still feel free to contribute. The cost that Mark estimated was $5,000 but I am certain he cut that estimate to the bone. Any extra can help him in carrying his work over into the regular season (i.e. getting to out of town locations [hotel, travel, food]).
It’s amazing and impressive what a grassroots effort can pull together. We’ve all given Mark the resources to get to and stay in Viera for spring training. Now, he has the opportunity to deliver on his plans for Nats coverage from mid-February through early April.

It’s gratifying. We can give again later if he gets short, and the reports are as enjoyable as I expect.
I guess the Nats have not dropped anybody off the 40-man roster yet to accommodate Adam Kennedy. By when does that have to happen? Any guess on who takes the dive?

If it were me i’d drop one of the minor league relievers on the roster. Mattheus, English and Severino are all guys in their mid 20s who have never thrown a major league pitch. Perhaps we can sneak one of them back to the AAA squad.

It would be nice to try to get him into the season as well … that is tougher … especially the road games … but perhaps he could cover home contests and the close-in minor league stuff? Maybe the Nats (Rizzo or Kasten) should consider helping out?
