To make room on the Harrisburg roster for RHRP Jesse Estrada, the Nationals promoted IF/OF Leonard Davis to Syracuse. The Chiefs removed OF Mike Vento from their roster, opening a spot for Davis.
Davis was been a jack-of-all-trades for the Senators playing around both the infield and outfield while hitting 281/340/462 with 14 homers and 51 RBI.

Could Davis be the future Willy Harris?

Berndaddy – Possibly. If he gets the call in September it’s something to watch

Has Davis developed the defensive skills to be a full time 2B-man? He might have a decent enough bat to be a big league hitter at a non-power position.

At 2B, Davis’ RF/G is comparable to Belliard’s and he only committed one error in 25 games (96 chances). Seems to me they ought to be thinking about giving him an extended audition for the position.
