From the Post’s Nationals Journal blog…

Q: The other player you were considering instead of Holder, what was his profile?

He was a college junior. A pitcher. We decided that we liked this guy better. That’s why Holder was ahead of this other guy on our board. We take 10 days to put the board together. It’s a painstaking process, so we might as well honor it.

Any educated guesses as to who this college junior pitcher could be?

RW – No idea. Given their draft board had Holder where he was, it would be difficult to even guess.

look through the 10th round, it was probably one of those guys

Ok I’m interested to see how much the Manny Acta autographed stuff goes for… The P-Nats might be lucky to sell it for $1.

    Eric Eric Eric

This is Manny’s first job. How much would the Ol Perfessor have drawn when he was managing Brooklyn? How much would it have gotten in 1960? Buy Manny on spec. It will be worth a lot when he leads the Mets to a pennant and whole lot more than that to a Word Series win. If you don’t know the Ol Perfessor, look him up.
