Thanks, SueD for keeping the discussions going. Things should start getting back to normal this week. I’ve attempted to update the Big Board with all of the various moves, but I’m sure I’ll find some moves I’ve missed.

Welcome back! Demotions for Rhinehart and Zinicola have to highlight the writing on the wall for them.

Any chance we see Bryce Harper in Hagerstown this year… Don’t even talk about we haven’t drafted him yet or anything like that because it’s 100% going to happen.

Jeff – My guess is that Harper signs at the deadline and then only plays briefly in the GCL

I’ve been following (somewhat) Destin Hood’s progress in Hagerstown. Does he get a promotion to Potomac before the year is out? Would love to see him play and I enjoy getting to the games in Woodbridge.

Hi Brian
Welcome back. I hope that you got a chance to relax and enjoy some down time.
I had an off topic question – has anyone in the Nats org given you any idea if they ever intend to sign an international FA again (other than R.Martin)? It has been an exciting year for the organization on several fronts so far, but their lack of activity in the international arena seems remarkable. It almost seems like a philosophical decision to avoid them.

Hi Brian! What’s the reason Ozvaldo Rodiguez was released? I thought he was really doing well as a closer…

@Mark – Nothing I heard

Big news coming from Harrisburg, Brian, I’m sure you’ll have lots on that when you’re caught up. What happened to your usual fill-in, Todd, this time? I smell a contract dispute!

Caught it this a.m. (http://bit.ly/bmZZpL) and was waiting for the corresponding Potomac moves, which Brian got.

And more from Potomac this AM (see recent post)
I never got around to asking for a volunteer this time. I guess I should consider taking some of my vast salary from NFA and hire some help ;)

Don’t know if people have seen it, but this is a really nice feature on the ‘06 draft. Depressing to read yet entertaining and informative while building heavily on the strong foundation of research at Nats Farm.
