For those interested, here are my first impressions on the Potomac squad: http://bit.ly/aWoP4E

The new guys in Hagerstown plus this year’s draft should ‘fix’ Potomac’s dearth of prospects. Patience.

@peric – I’ve seen this before (‘06 & ‘07) but the past couple of seasons have spoiled me a little. It is nice for Hagerstown, though. Perhaps cjr can back me up but I don’t think they’ve had a winning record this deep into April since the Nationals were the parent club.

looks like Strasburg pitched 5 perfect innings tonight.

natteringnabob – Not perfect, a batter reached base on strikeout and a passed ball by the catcher.

Sue, good for Hagerstown. I remember the countless number (some, not all!) of players who played for Bradenton, Vermont, West Palm Beach, Brevard, Savannah, (Expos’ days)… and history always seems to repeat itself. Great starts, slow starts, great prospects, long shots, stellar years followed by disappointment, prospects, disappointments,… Baseball is great!!

Thanks Sue. McGeary appears to be on track.

Sadly, my friend in Hagerstown didn’t get to see McGeary pitch yesterday. I’m hoping to get his observations on what he’s been seeing later this week.
If anyone here goes to Harrisburg or Syracuse games regularly, we’d love to hear from you: http://bit.ly/cCql0x
