Syracuse had eleven hits but could only score one run, falling 2-1 at Lehigh Valley (box). RHP Andrew Kown started for the Chiefs, allowing both runs on six hits and four walks over 4IP with two strikeouts. RHP Andrew Brown struck out two over two shutout innings of relief and LHP Atahaulpa Severino walked three and struck out two over two shutout innings. CF Roger Bernadina was 2/5 with one RBI; SS Pete Orr was 2/4; 1B Josh Whitesell was 2/3; 3B Eric Bruntlett was 1/4; and CA Devin Ivany was 2/3 with two doubles and a run scored.

Three Harrisburg pitchers combined on a five-hit 5-0 shutout of Reading (box/gamer). LHP Tom Milone struck out six over 5 2/3IP, allowing three hits and two walks; RHP Hassan Pena struck out one over 2 1/3 hitless innigns; and RHP Adam Carr allowed two hits in his one scoreless inning of relief. 3B Leonard Davis was 2/4 with a double, two runs and two RBI; 1B Chris Marrero was 1/4 with a double and two RBI; SS Danny Espinosa was 0/2 with a walk & run scored; and CF Mike Daniel was 1/3 with a double & RBI.

Potomac fell 6-1 to Frederick on Tuesday morning (box/gamer). RHP Brad Peacock took the loss despite striking out ten over his 5IP. He allowed two runs on three hits and two walks. LHP Cory VanAllen surrendered four runs on six hits over 1 1/3 innings of relief. 2B Stephen Lombardozzi was 2/5 with a triple & run scored; CF Chris Curran was 2/4; and RF Michael Burgess was 0/3 with a walk & strikeout.

SS Francisco Soriano was 1/5 with two stolen bases and a run scored; 3B Steve Souza was 1/5 with one RBI; 2B Jeff Kobernus was 0/4 with a walk & two strikeouts; LF Destin Hood was 1/5 with two strikeouts; DH J.P. Ramirez was 0/4 with a walk, stolen base & two runs scored; and CF Eury Perez was 1/4 with his seventh stolen base of the season. RHP Trevor Holder started, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk over 6IP with two strikeouts. RHP Wanel Vasquez struck out one and allowed one hits over 2ip and RHP Dean Weaver took the loss, surrendering a run on two hits over 2/3 of an inning of work.

    I dont know who listed the hit that SS gave up as a soft liner looked like a solid single to center to me

    Strasburg faced 17 batters and threw around 75 pitches. E.R.A. down to .71. Harrisburg won 3-0 with SS picking up the win as it was 1-0 when he left.
