And it all comes down to one final Minor League Report from the Nationals Bill Gluvna.
Enjoy (and let me know if the link worked).

Love the Gluvna-tor, but 1 little error, he says “Syracuse’s 78-68 record marks the first winning season by a Washington Triple-A affiliate since baseball returned to the Nation’s Capital in 2005…”
The New Orleans Zephyrs were 72-71 in 2006, our affiliate then. Otherwise, chock full of info – I had been working on team totals for the minors but Bill had most my info!
Great report.

Sounds like Rizzo’s first order of business is to hire an asst. gm/farm director. Not sure about Chico Brian but would you get access to talk to the lucky candidate?

Realize that its hard getting Instructional League reports, but in addition to SS, there are a ton of Nats prospects that have been playing in Viera since 9/24. Any word as to who is playing well?

Pilchard: I did some searching through regular web engines (Yahoo!, Google, Bing), and turned what look like 2009 reports from individuals for both the Phillies & Pirates, but nothing recent from sites like MiLB.com, mlb.com or even BaseballAmerica.com. Maybe we just need to get “boots in the field” on this – Anybody got friends or relatives near Viera to give us a feed?
