Surfing around this morning, I found the Space Coast Baseball site which has video from yesterday’s championship game. Not sure why I had not stumbled upon this before.
Enjoy.

Great video. Bob Henley seems like a very solid guy from that clip. Enjoyed his talk to the team after the title.

Nice. Of course, it might be the career highlight for some of these kids, so there is no cause to belittle it for “only being GCL”.

Brian-
It is way to early to put you on the spot, but perhaps you are willing to throw an answer out there. Any sense of which GCL players may have earned themselves a trip to Vermont or even Hagerstown next year?

I can realistically say that anyone who is 21 or older should move up (or be released). That list includes Ruben De La Rosa, Wilson Eusebio, Julio Perez, Danny Rosenbaum, Jose Taveras, Wanel Vasquez, Wilfri Pena, Chris Solis, Brett Newsome, Yeurys Tejeda, Brian Pruitt & Naoya Washiya
I’d hope that Graham Hicks, Taylor Jordan, Brandon King, Ironel Paez, Josh Smoker, Ricardo Martinez, Adrian Nieto, Justino Cuevas, Hendry Jimenez, Alex Romero, Adrian Sanchez, Angelberth Montilla, Eury Perez, & Derrick Phillips get the promotions as well … all seem legitimate choices for Vermont with Hicks, Smoker & Perez all candidates for Hagerstown.

It would seem that our international, latin american division, component is alive and well in Viera. Is not the translator the great Cesar Cedeno?

I don’t think that was Cesar Cedeno translating. Would guess that it was Sergio Mendez. Who was the rep from the Nats that briefly spoke to the team?

it was ramon aviles

Think that was Bobby Williams as Rep for the team, one of his last official acts . . .
