BA has Brandon King signed for 100k, rather than 250k, as a heads up.

Brian
I enjoyed the podcast. Your audio was much better this time.
I mentioned the same thing over at Steven’s blog, but the hard thing with evaluating the trade deadline is that we don’t know what they passed up. But it is kind of close in this case – do you think Aaron Thompson is a better prospect than Scott Barnes (the guy the Indians got for garko)? I think that it is reasonable to think that trade was there for NJ. Reading the reports, I think that Barnes rates slightly better, but I am not sure. Seems like higher ceiling, but further away. I also agree with you about the Willingham/Dunn market – probably just not offered anything that impressed them.
I also agreed with you about the Nats farm system – just going by feel, rather than in-depth, level by level analysis, it does seem like it has been much better this year. Of course, it is probably offset a little by emphasizing college players and then starting them in low ball, but still, things are looking up.
Nice job, and I look forward to the next one in a few weeks.
