Brian,
Don’t you have to fire Manny Acta soon. Nothing is working and change for change sake is the only hope this team has. If they lose 115 games or more, baseball in DC will be set so far back that it will take decades to recover, to where it was in 2005 July if it ever can. Don’t they have a responsibility shake up this clubhouse and try to turn 2009 around?

I can see the validity in that argument but I think he’s here for the season.
Riggelman? Foli? I really don’t see that being anything more than a move on paper.
My guess is the Nationals play out the string with Acta and then decline his option.
I understand some folks want the change now but given some of the moves the Nationals are making to reshape the team, I believe they are going to give Acta the rest of the year
(now that I typed that out, they’ll fire him on tomorrow’s off-day)

Thanks Brian,
That is how it goes when you are a Nats Fan…….I think Foli would be a major change in approach and that would shake things up. It worked wonders for the Rockies. Why not try it. I think Rizzo is not an Acta guy anyway so Acta is not here past October anyway. What is the harm giving it a shot…..can they be worse?

Oh and you might be right about the off day. That was some dead team today. Just looked hopeless.

I want Valentine. I think (and hope) they decline Acta’s option after the season and go after Bobby V.

Is Harper’s draft eligibility a sure thing?

As long as he follows through with his GED and enrolling in Community College
