After missing his scheduled start on Sat. (strained neck), Nationals RHP Stephen Strasburg is slated to make his next Arizona Fall League start on Saturday vs. Peoria Saguaros.

Time for MLB network to step up. The people need to see Strasburg! BTW, Congratulations to Mr. Riggleman.

I wonder if he’ll start the Championship game(assuming they hold on to their division lead). That would be the following Saturday. That game is being televised, and will likely include several Nats if Phoenix makes it.

I think we can reasonably assume he will, unless the Nats have concerns about innings. Which makes today’s and tomorrow’s games (Solar Sox vs. Phoenix) very important for those who would like to see Strasburg and the rest of our prospects on TV.

Sorry unrelated, but no “related” post – the rosters for the Puerto Rica Winter League came out with many more Nats on them – play starts today. Will try to format this OK, but can’t tell til too late!

Criollas de Caguas Luis Atilano (24 yr old – AA) Saul Rivera (32 yr old, ML) Jack Spradlin (25 yr old -AAA) Roberto Perez (18 yr old, 8th round pick 2k9) Edgardo Baez (24 yr old – AA) – released

Gigantes Carolina Chris Rivera ( 25 yr old, A+ & AA)

Leones de Ponce Chris Lugo ( 23 yr old, A-) Charlie Fermaint (24 yr old, A-)

Lobos de Arecibo John Santiago ( 21 yr old, GCL) Jorge Padilla (ML)

Others of note, Bill Pulsipher (Fairfax HS), Levale Speigner (he of outdueling Johan Santana fame) on Arecibo. Jose Vidro on Ponce. Jerome Williams and Brian Lawrence on Carolina.

We are in AZ for two weeks and were disappointed that Stephen did not pitch in the Rising Stars game and are really looking forward to seeing him pitch Saturday night. Danny Espinosa hit a long homerun last night against Scottsdale. The fences are 360 down the lines and 430 to center field. The weather has been great and the stadiums are nice.

VladiHondo – thanks for the winter league roster. I am very interested to see how Atilano pitches for Criollas de Caguas this winter.

Robin, we moved here a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. Wish the Nats would move their spring training here from FL!

Strasburg appears to be finding a groove. Got another W tonightwithout giving up a run.

Anyone know whats up with Marrero? He hasn’t played since the 10th. I know its only 4 days but still …
