Arneson and Spradlin up to AAA?

  3. #3 by Brian Oliver - July 20th, 2009 at 14:44

Not sure we’ll see the Arnesen part.

Gut says it will be one of the relievers (Spradlin, Wilkie or Novoa) to Syracuse, Meyers to DL (sore toe according to reports), and Estrada off the DL in Syracuse.

That brings the Senators and Chiefs to the right number of rostered players

Watching how Chico is performing and seeing how “under the radar” he seems to be flying makes me wonder if he could be a sleeper for next year’s rotation…

Severino has been lights out so far. If he does well in Harrisburg, I feel we will see him with the NATS in September.

Can someone tell why Norris is still in Hagerstown?

  7. #7 by Wookie - July 20th, 2009 at 15:47

Yunior Novoa was promoted from Harrisburg to Syracuse, and Marco Estrada was activated from the DL. Norris is still in Hagerstown because of his need to work on his catching skills.

Oh Potomac, just wait for Drew Storen to get there. Last time he pitched at Hagerstown – 3 strikeouts in a row. Absolute command and total domination. He’ll be in a major league uniform next year for sure.

Wow, now that is the “ripple effect” at work.

I’m thinking that Norris is still in Hagerstown because the manager was a catcher in the majors for 8 years.

MLB.com lists A.J. Morris assigned to GCL Nats

  12. #12 by RD - July 20th, 2009 at 20:53

Morris should take the s tep up to Hagerstown. He’s a four year college guy(only played 3 though) and is every bit as good/prepared as Holder.

Anybody with AZ ties has backing in Rizzo, so Chico next year is feasible. Next thoughtstream: how long until Detwiler converted to bullpen????

What more can Wilkie and Spradlin do to get some respect from this organization?

Hassan Pena in Potomac? I seriously think they should’ve moved Marcos Frias up to Potomac before they moved Pena up!
