Holder to Hagerstown

July 13th, 2009 Brian Oliver

Scanning the MiLB transactions and I noted that RHP Trevor Holder was promoted from Vermont to Hagerstown. Holder was a third round ppick by the Nationals in this year’s draft. He made two appearances for the Monsters (5 1/3IP) allowing four runs (three earned) on ten hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

No word on who he is replacing with the Suns

Complete speculation…maybe Storen was promoted to Potomac.

Storen and Holder to Potomac would be awesome.

EDIT: But at the same time Frias has pitched well enough for a bump up.

Storen as of last night is still in Hagerstown as he pitched for one inning and was pretty darn good!

This seems like a fast-track move; Holder was assigned to VT from the draft exactly one month ago. HAG needed another rotation pitcher to replace Pecina, but why Holder?
