Either Killian or Nieto should step up to VT this year. Also, were both Nolan & Solis released, or are they "back-pocket" bumps to HAG, once the promotions start?

Peacock may have topped out in High-A - both he & Ivany are RuleV in 2010, IIRC.

Montz & Herrera at AA haven't shown much of anything offensively - Montz might get punted from the 40-man once the FO thinks Rooney is ready to take the step up to HAR.

Solano can't even hit AAA pitching - he's not a candidate for the big club anytime soon, imo. They'll continue the holding pattern with Bard/Nieves for the rest of the year. I will say that with Flores looking a little brittle, both Rooney & Norris have opportunities to make a move toward the big club.

Nieto got screwed he should be in Vermont. He's ready to play at that level. He's not the only that got screwed , Hood should not be in the Gcl. They can't even run the minors right. cmon!

I've seen Peacock for probably close to 100 games now and he's like a Chevrolet - nothing really wrong but otherwise unspectacular. Has a halfway decent arm but tends to drop throws from the OF at HP. Offensively, he tends to be streaky - respectable speed for a catcher - but can't seem to avoid the strikeout (277K ins 270G).

Ivany is just a little bit better in every facet as Peacock, but that he's still in A ball at almost 27 tells me that either (a) he's considered coach/manager material, like Poppert (b) the organization would prefer not to elevate anyone besides Reagan or Norris to high A this season.

Montz is expendable. Take him off the 40-man and put Solano on it.

Get rid of Bard and let Nieves/Solano catch the Nats young pitchers the rest of the season.

Ivany was working on some undefined issues in Florida. Peacock and Ivany seem likely to split time between backing up Rooney and catching down in the bullpen.

I figure at some point soon, the Nationals will move Rooney to Harrisburg, Norris to Potomac and then have Hagerstown manned by Reagan and Peacock, Ivany or perhaps the catcher they drafted late from Ball State this year. The question arises what to do with Montz in Harrisburg. It seems that Solano has passed him and I'm not sure whether he should take ABs from Rooney.

Brian, what's the scoop on Ivany? Also if Ivany is going to back-up Rooney at Potomac what happens to Peacock? My first thought is that Peacock has had plenty of time at Potomac to impress and it's just not happening. He's falling farhter down the totum pole of catchers in the lower levels.
