A eighth inning error led to the decisive run as the Clippers dropped a 5-4 decision (box score/gamer) to the Tides. Starter Felix Diaz allowed four runs on eight hits in his six innings of work. Home runs were a problem for him allowing two accounting for three of his four runs. The Tides took the lead in the eighth after the Tide Mike Cervenak reached on an error by third baseman Kory Casto and scored three batters later when Brandon Fahey singled him home. Casto had a better night at the plate going 3/4 with a double and a run scored. D’Angelo Jimenez and Brandon Harper each had two hits. Brandon Watson extended his hitting streak to 33 with a single.
