Harrisburg Senators Sale Finalized
from the Patriot News
Harrisburg Mayor Stephen R. Reed says Harrisburg will sell the Harrisburg Senators for $13.2 million, a substantial increase over the $6.7 million the city paid in 1996.
The buyer is Senators Partners LLC, an entity controlled by Michael Reinsdorf, who owns and operates a variety of minor league sports teams. The sales price of $13,250,000 will be the highest price on record for an AA team in the Eastern Professional Baseball League.
